Description
A rich and flavorful garlic butter chicken cooked in a silky butter sauce with herbs, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

- 1 1/2 lbs chicken breasts or thighs, cut into chunks
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium and add remaining butter to the skillet. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook another 2 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Add red pepper flakes for heat.
- Use chicken thighs for juicier results.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
