- 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
- Slowly add the milk and heavy cream while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Cook and stir until the sauce thickens, about 5–7 minutes.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.

- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
- You can add grilled chicken, shrimp, or vegetables for variation.
- Adjust sauce thickness by adding more milk if needed.
