Description

White Chocolate Holiday Truffles are rich, creamy confections made from white chocolate ganache and adorned with festive toppings like dried cranberries, nuts, and holiday sprinkles—perfect for gifts, parties, or a seasonal indulgence.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 oz white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp dried cranberries or cherries, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp toasted chopped nuts (pecans, pistachios, almonds)
  • 2 tbsp holiday-themed sprinkles
  • Sea salt (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream and butter over medium heat until just simmering.
  2. Pour the hot cream mixture over the chopped white chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 1–2 minutes, then stir until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract. Cover and refrigerate the ganache for 1–2 hours, until firm enough to scoop.
  4. Using a small cookie scoop or melon baller, portion out the ganache and roll into 1-inch balls with your hands. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. Press toppings like chopped cranberries, nuts, and sprinkles onto each truffle.
  6. Chill truffles again for 15–30 minutes to set. Serve cold or slightly chilled.

Notes

  • Use high-quality white chocolate for smooth melting.
  • Chilling hands or dusting with powdered sugar can help prevent sticking when rolling.
  • Try rolling in shredded coconut for a snowy look.
  • Add food-safe gel coloring to ganache for holiday hues.
  • Store in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer shelf life.
