These Swedish meatballs over creamy mashed potatoes, smothered in savory gravy, are the ultimate comfort food classic made simple and delicious at home.
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

1 egg

1/2 tsp allspice

Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a bowl, combine beef, pork, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, allspice, salt, and pepper. Mix and form into small meatballs.

Sear meatballs in a skillet until browned and cooked through. Set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour and cook 1–2 minutes.

Slowly add broth and cream, whisking until smooth. Simmer to thicken.

Add meatballs to gravy and cook for 5 more minutes.

Serve hot over mashed potatoes, garnish with parsley.
Notes
