- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- Toothpicks or kitchen twine, for securing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Cut a deep pocket into the side of each chicken breast using a sharp knife, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Stuff each pocket with the broccoli and cheese mixture and secure the opening with toothpicks or kitchen twine.
- Optional: Sear the stuffed chicken breasts in a hot skillet with olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side for added color and flavor.
- Transfer the chicken to the prepared baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let rest for a few minutes before removing toothpicks/twine. Slice and serve hot.
