Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in flour and baking powder, alternating with milk, until combined.
- Pour batter evenly into the cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Let cakes cool completely before assembling.
- Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Place one cake layer on a stand, spread whipped cream, and add sliced strawberries.
- Place the second layer on top and repeat with more cream and strawberries.
- Garnish with whole strawberries and serve.
