Description

Sticky BBQ Ribs with Fries is a hearty comfort food dish featuring tender pork ribs smothered in a sticky barbecue glaze, served with golden, crispy fries. Perfect for gatherings or indulgent meals at home.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 racks pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 servings French fries (frozen or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove membrane from back of ribs. Pat dry, then rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder.
  3. Place ribs on a foil-lined baking sheet. Cover with foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.
  4. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
  5. Remove ribs from oven, brush with BBQ glaze, and broil for 5–7 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
  6. Prepare fries according to package directions or homemade method.
  7. Slice ribs and serve with fries on the side.

Notes

  • Use beef ribs for variation, adjusting cooking time as needed.
  • Add cayenne or hot sauce to the glaze for heat.
  • For a smoky flavor, use a smoker instead of the oven.
  • Bake ribs the day before and glaze before serving for easier prep.
