Description

Spicy Ground Beef Lettuce Sliders are a low-carb, flavor-packed alternative to traditional sliders, featuring seasoned beef wrapped in crisp lettuce and topped with a zesty sauce and fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder or cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 8 large romaine or butter lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup spicy mayo or chipotle sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red onion; sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Wash and thoroughly dry lettuce leaves. Set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, mix mayo with chipotle or hot sauce to your preferred spice level.
  5. Spoon portions of the cooked beef into each lettuce leaf.
  6. Top with a drizzle of spicy mayo, cherry tomatoes, red onion slices, and chopped green onions.
  7. Serve immediately as a light meal or appetizer.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Reduce spice level for a kid-friendly version.
  • Add avocado or guacamole for creaminess.
  • Store beef and lettuce separately for best texture if making ahead.
  • Swap spicy mayo for ranch or tzatziki if preferred.
