Description

Ingredients

For the Dumpling Filling:

  • 1 lb ground pork (or chicken)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
  • 30 dumpling wrappers

For the Spicy Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp chili oil (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey (or sugar)
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp chopped cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Dumplings:

  1. Prepare the Filling – In a bowl, mix ground meat, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  2. Fill the Dumplings – Place 1 tsp of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold in half, and pinch to seal.
  3. Cook the Dumplings:
    • Steamed: Steam for 8-10 minutes until fully cooked.
    • Pan-Fried: Heat oil in a pan, place dumplings, and fry for 2 minutes until golden. Add ¼ cup water, cover, and steam for another 5 minutes.

Make the Spicy Sauce:

  1. Mix Ingredients – In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger, crushed red pepper, and sesame seeds. Stir well.

Serve & Garnish:

  1. Toss or Drizzle – Pour the spicy sauce over the cooked dumplings or serve on the side for dipping.
  2. Garnish with chopped cilantro and extra sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust chili oil for your spice preference.
