- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Thread shrimp onto skewers (if using) or place directly on the grill.
- Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Use pre-mixed Cajun seasoning to save time.
- Substitute scallops or chicken for the shrimp.
- Add lime juice or hot sauce before grilling for added zing.
- Serve over grits, rice, or salad for a full meal.
