Description

Spicy Cajun Grilled Shrimp are bold and zesty shrimp grilled to perfection with a smoky Cajun seasoning blend—ideal for tacos, salads, or enjoying straight off the skewer.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  3. Thread shrimp onto skewers (if using) or place directly on the grill.
  4. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.
  5. Remove from heat and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use pre-mixed Cajun seasoning to save time.
  • Substitute scallops or chicken for the shrimp.
  • Add lime juice or hot sauce before grilling for added zing.
  • Serve over grits, rice, or salad for a full meal.
  • Cook on a stovetop grill pan if outdoor grilling isn’t available.
