Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, sliced into rings

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 cup cold sparkling water or beer

  • Salt to taste

 

  • Oil for deep frying


Instructions

  • Mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, and water into a smooth batter.

  • Dip onion rings into batter, then fry in hot oil until golden.

 

  • Drain and sprinkle with salt.


Notes

  • Cold batter = extra crisp.
