Description

Rissy Roo – Honey-Glazed Roasted Brussels are crispy, caramelized Brussels sprouts tossed in a warm honey glaze, making for a sweet and savory side dish perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or fresh herbs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  3. Spread sprouts in a single layer, cut side down, on the baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy on the edges.
  5. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey, Dijon mustard (if using), and apple cider vinegar. Stir until warm and blended.
  6. Transfer roasted sprouts to a large bowl and toss with the warm honey glaze.
  7. Garnish with green onions or fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure crispiness.
  • For a vegan version, use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy-sweet twist.
  • Toasted nuts make a great topping for added texture.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer for best texture.
