Description

Soft and chewy red velvet crinkle cookies with a beautiful powdered sugar coating.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Cream Butter & Sugar: Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, food coloring, and vanilla.
  • Combine: Gradually mix in dry ingredients until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
  • Roll & Coat: Scoop dough into balls, roll in powdered sugar, and place on the baking sheet.
  • Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes until crinkled and set.
