Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

For the Cream Cheese Layer:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Pecan Pie Filling:

  • 1 1/2 cups caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

For the Whipped Topping:

  • 2 cups whipped topping (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust:
    • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
    • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to set.
  • Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Gradually add heavy whipping cream and beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.
    • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
  • Add the Pecan Pie Filling:
    • In a separate bowl, mix caramel sauce with chopped pecans.
    • Spoon this mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  • Layer the Remaining Cream Cheese Mixture:
    • Spread the remaining half of the cream cheese mixture over the pecan pie filling, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
  • Add the Whipped Topping:
    • Gently spread the whipped topping over the top cream cheese layer. Garnish with additional chopped pecans for a decorative finish.
  • Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the layers to set. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

    • Caramel Sauce: Use high-quality store-bought caramel or make your own for a richer flavor.
    • Nut Options: Substitute pecans with walnuts for a twist on the classic flavor.
    • Storage: Cover tightly with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
    • Freezing Option: Freeze the dessert (without the whipped topping) for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator and add whipped topping before serving.
