Description

Pecan Pie Balls are a no-bake treat that brings together the classic flavors of pecan pie with a chewy, nutty center and rich chocolate coating—perfect for holidays, parties, or anytime indulgence.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs or crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate (for coating)
  • Whole pecans for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together chopped pecans, graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, and salt.
  2. Add maple syrup and vanilla extract. Stir until a thick, sticky mixture forms.
  3. Scoop into tablespoon-sized portions and roll into balls. Place on a lined tray.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between.
  6. Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate and return to the tray.
  7. Optional: press a whole pecan on top before the chocolate sets.
  8. Chill again until the chocolate coating is firm, about 15 minutes.

Notes

  • Add a splash of bourbon to the mixture for a boozy twist.
  • Mix in a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg for a spiced variation.
  • Use white chocolate for a sweeter, creamier finish.
  • Make gluten-free by using gluten-free crumbs or cookies.
  • Toast the pecans beforehand for enhanced flavor.
