Description

Pecan Pie Balls are bite-sized, no-bake treats capturing the rich, nutty flavor of traditional pecan pie with a gooey filling and smooth chocolate coating, perfect for holidays or anytime indulgence.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs or crushed vanilla wafers
  • 8 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and mixture thickens slightly.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped pecans. Let cool to room temperature.
  3. Mix pecan filling with graham cracker crumbs until sticky and moldable.
  4. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Melt chocolate in double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
  7. Dip each ball into melted chocolate to coat fully, then return to baking sheet.
  8. Optionally, press a whole pecan on top before chocolate sets.
  9. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm, about 1 hour.

Notes

  • Use white or dark chocolate for coating variations.
  • Add cinnamon or nutmeg to the filling for warmth.
  • Substitute pecans with walnuts or almonds if preferred.
  • Drizzle caramel or white chocolate over coated balls for decoration.
