- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, cut into strips or cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups elbow macaroni or short pasta
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth or water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat oil or butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- Season beef with salt and pepper. Sear until browned on all sides, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, sauté onion and garlic until softened and fragrant.
- Add pasta, broth, honey, and barbecue sauce. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes or until pasta is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Return beef to the pot and toss to coat. Heat through for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

- Use chicken or pork instead of beef if preferred.
- Add bell peppers or corn for added texture and flavor.
- For a spicy version, use hot BBQ sauce or add chili flakes.
