Description

These No-Bake Praline Cookies are the perfect sweet treat with no oven required! Made with buttery caramel, brown sugar, pecans, and oats, they deliver all the rich, nutty flavors of pralines in a quick and easy cookie form. Perfect for holidays, parties, or an indulgent snack!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

Prepare a baking sheet:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside.

2. Make the praline mixture:

  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, heavy cream, and salt. Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture thickens slightly.

3. Add vanilla and mix-ins:

  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Add the quick oats and chopped pecans, mixing until fully coated.

4. Drop the cookies:

  • Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

5. Let them set:

  • Allow the cookies to cool at room temperature until firm, about 30-45 minutes. For faster setting, place them in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.

6. Serve and enjoy:

  • Once set, enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, toast the pecans before mixing them into the cookie dough.
  • Use old-fashioned oats for a chewier texture, or stick to quick oats for a softer consistency.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm, spiced flavor twist.
