- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup). Stir until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt until fully incorporated.
- Add puffed rice cereal to the saucepan and mix until evenly coated.
- Press the mixture into a lined 8×8-inch baking dish using a spatula or damp hands to compact.
- Sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top (if using) and gently press them into the surface.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm. Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
- Use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
