Description

These crispy and gooey Mozzarella Balls are the ultimate cheesy appetizer or snack! Coated in golden breadcrumbs and fried to perfection, they’re bite-sized, irresistible, and perfect for dipping in marinara sauce or serving at parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12-16 mini mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or Italian-style)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Drain and pat dry the mozzarella balls thoroughly with paper towels.

  • In three separate bowls: place the flour in one, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in the third.

  • Dredge each mozzarella ball in flour, dip into egg, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture.

Notes

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.

  • Freezing before frying is crucial to prevent melting and leaking cheese.

  • You can also bake or air-fry them as a healthier alternative.
