- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 6 small squares of dark chocolate (for molten center)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Fill each muffin liner halfway with batter. Place one square of dark chocolate in the center, then cover with more batter until 3/4 full.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the tops are set but the center remains soft.
- Cool slightly before serving to enjoy the molten center.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep the center molten.
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best results.
- Serve warm with ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
