- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix just until combined—do not overmix.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape on the baking sheet or press into a loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar. Spread half over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then remove and spread the remaining glaze on top.
- Return to oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use a mix of ground beef and pork for extra flavor and tenderness.
- Leftovers make excellent meatloaf sandwiches.
- Let the meatloaf rest to keep it juicy when slicing.
