Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 large potatoes (or frozen fries)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices crispy bacon, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives

Instructions

  • Prepare the Fries:

    • If using fresh potatoes, peel and cut them into fries. Deep fry or air fry until golden and crispy. If using frozen fries, cook as per package instructions.
  • Make the Cheese Sauce:

    • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in the flour.
    • Slowly add heavy cream, whisking continuously until smooth.
    • Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese, allowing them to melt into a smooth sauce.
    • Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Assemble the Loaded Fries:

    • Place fries on a serving plate.
    • Pour the hot cheese sauce generously over the fries.
    • Sprinkle crispy bacon bits on top.
    • Garnish with chopped chives.
  • Serve & Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add jalapeños or caramelized onions.
  • Swap bacon for grilled chicken or chili for a heartier meal.
  • Use different cheeses like gouda or pepper jack for variety.
