Description

Juicy Turkey Patties with Gravy are tender, flavorful ground turkey patties seared to perfection and smothered in a rich, savory homemade gravy—an easy, comforting meal for any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for gravy)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for gravy)
  • 2 cups chicken or turkey broth (for gravy)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (for gravy)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (for gravy)
  • Salt to taste (for gravy)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp should reach 165°F).
  4. Remove patties and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  5. Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
  6. Slowly whisk in broth, stirring constantly until smooth and thickened, about 5 minutes.
  7. Season gravy with onion powder, pepper, and salt to taste.
  8. Return turkey patties to skillet and spoon gravy over them. Simmer for a few minutes until heated through. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use lean ground turkey for a healthier option, but not too lean (85-93%) to retain juiciness.
  • For extra depth, sauté mushrooms in the skillet before making the gravy.
  • Pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables.
