Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey (preferably 93% lean)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 small onion or shallot, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or cooking spray (for cooking surface)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, gently mix ground turkey, parsley, thyme, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Form into six equal patties and press a slight indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly oil the surface with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 °F (74 °C) and a golden crust forms.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 3 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the turkey mixture to keep the patties tender.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach a safe internal temperature.
- Add a bit of olive oil to the mix if patties seem too lean or dry.
- Great for meal prep—use throughout the week in sandwiches, bowls, or wraps.
- Use tamari or gluten-free Worcestershire sauce for a gluten-free option.
