- 1 lb sausages (pork, chicken, or beef)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 3 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon or grainy mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
- Black pepper to taste
- Optional: chili flakes or hot sauce to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley or thyme for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sausages and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F or 71°C). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add brown sugar or honey, soy sauce, mustard, garlic, and vinegar. Stir to combine and simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return sausages to the skillet and toss to coat in the glaze. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes, turning to glaze evenly.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.

- Use tamari for a gluten-free version.
- Grill the sausages first for added smokiness.
- Double the glaze ingredients for more sauce.
- Add ginger and sesame oil for an Asian twist.
