Description

Juicy Glazed Sausage is a savory and sweet dish where sausages are browned to perfection and coated in a sticky, flavorful glaze. This easy and versatile recipe can be served as a main course, appetizer, or party snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sausages (pork, chicken, or beef)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon or grainy mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chili flakes or hot sauce to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sausages and cook until browned on all sides and cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F or 71°C). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add brown sugar or honey, soy sauce, mustard, garlic, and vinegar. Stir to combine and simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Return sausages to the skillet and toss to coat in the glaze. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes, turning to glaze evenly.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use tamari for a gluten-free version.
  • Grill the sausages first for added smokiness.
  • Double the glaze ingredients for more sauce.
  • Add ginger and sesame oil for an Asian twist.
