This Italian Sub Loaf transforms a classic Italian sub into a warm, cheesy, and satisfying baked sandwich loaf, loaded with deli meats, cheese, and zesty Italian dressing.

- 1 large French bread loaf
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 1/4 lb ham, sliced
- 1/4 lb salami, sliced
- 1/4 lb pepperoni, sliced
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- 1/4 cup banana peppers
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice French bread loaf in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the bread inside.
- Brush Italian dressing on the inside of both halves.
- Layer ham, salami, and pepperoni evenly.
- Add provolone and mozzarella slices on top.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and add lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and banana peppers.
- Spread mayonnaise on the top half of the bread, then place on top of the sandwich.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Try adding black olives or roasted red peppers for extra flavor.
- Use a garlic butter spread for a richer taste.
