Description

This honeycomb layer cake is a beautifully textured, honey-infused delight with a crisp, golden glaze that resembles a real honeycomb.


Ingredients

For the Cake:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
For the Honey Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Prepare the Batter: Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, whisk honey, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and milk. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
  • Bake: Pour into a greased pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes. Let cool.
  • Make the Honey Glaze: Simmer honey, butter, and cream until thickened.
  • Assemble & Serve: Pour the glaze over the cake and let it soak in.

Notes
