- 2–3 lbs chicken drumsticks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon or orange juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- Sliced oranges or lemons (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking dish with foil and lightly grease it.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, citrus juice, olive oil, and mustard if using.
- Pat chicken drumsticks dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Arrange drumsticks in the prepared dish and pour the glaze over them, coating well.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, turning once halfway through, until chicken is cooked and glaze is caramelized.
- Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end to deepen the glaze if desired.
- Garnish with citrus slices and serve hot.

- Add chili flakes or sriracha for heat.
- Substitute maple syrup for honey for variation.
- Marinate chicken ahead for deeper flavor.
- Use thighs or wings instead of drumsticks.
- Broil briefly for crispier skin and thicker glaze.
