Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Pork:

  • 1 1/2 lbs pork tenderloin (or pork chops)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 1 tbsp water)

For Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pork:
    • Pat the pork dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear the pork on all sides until browned (about 4 minutes per side).
  2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
    • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
    • Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
    • Let simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  3. Cook the Pork in Sauce:
    • Return the pork to the pan, coating it with the sauce.
    • Cover and let it cook for 10–12 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
    • Remove pork and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  4. Thicken the Sauce (Optional):
    • Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another minute until thickened.
  5. Serve & Garnish:
    • Slice the pork and drizzle with the honey garlic sauce.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley, green onions, or sesame seeds.

Notes

  • If using pork chops, adjust cooking time to about 4–5 minutes per side.
  • Pair with steamed rice, roasted potatoes, or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
