For the Pork Tenderloin:
- 1–1.5 lbs pork tenderloin
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
For Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pork:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the pork tenderloin with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork on all sides until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes per side).
- Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and smoked paprika.
- Glaze and Bake:
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the seared pork tenderloin.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C). Baste the pork with the sauce every 5 minutes to enhance the flavor.
- Rest and Serve:
- Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Drizzle with the remaining sauce from the skillet and garnish with fresh parsley and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add ½ tsp red chili flakes to the sauce.
- Pair with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice for a complete meal.
