- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over the chicken. Seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (up to 8 hours).
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates.
- Remove chicken from marinade and let excess drip off. Discard marinade.
- Grill chicken for 6–7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions if desired.
Notes
- Marinate longer for more intense flavor.
- Can be grilled, baked, or cooked on a stovetop grill pan.
- Serve with rice, grilled veggies, or a fresh salad.
