Description

Oven-Roasted Carrot Fries with Creamy Garlic Dipping Sauce are a healthy, flavorful alternative to traditional fries. Naturally sweet carrots are seasoned and roasted to caramelized perfection, paired with a rich garlic-infused yogurt sauce.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 large carrots, peeled and cut into fry-like sticks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss carrot sticks with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the carrots in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and slightly crisp on the edges.
  5. While carrots roast, prepare the garlic dipping sauce: in a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt or sour cream with mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice until smooth.
  6. Serve the hot carrot fries with the garlic dipping sauce on the side.

Notes

  • Cut carrots evenly for consistent cooking.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and aid in browning.
  • Add cumin or chili powder for a spicier twist.
  • The sauce can be made dairy-free with vegan mayo and plant-based yogurt.
  • For crispier texture, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
