Description

Grilled Pineapple Slices are a naturally sweet and smoky tropical side or dessert, made by grilling fresh pineapple rings until caramelized. They’re quick, healthy, and ideal for summer meals or barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1/2-inch rings
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Fresh mint or chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush both sides of pineapple slices with melted butter or oil.
  3. Optional: Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon for extra flavor.
  4. Grill slices for 2–3 minutes per side until grill marks form and edges are caramelized.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with mint or green onion.
  6. Serve warm as a dessert, topping, or side dish.

Notes

  • Canned pineapple can be used but is softer and more delicate on the grill.
  • Add a splash of lime or chili powder for a savory twist.
  • Pair with grilled meat or vanilla ice cream for serving ideas.
  • Reheat leftovers on a skillet or grill to restore warmth and texture.
