Description

Grilled Pepperoni Pizza Sandwiches bring the bold, cheesy flavors of classic pizza into a crispy, buttery sandwich form. Made with melty mozzarella, zesty pepperoni, and savory marinara sauce, these sandwiches are a satisfying and easy-to-make comfort food favorite.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices sandwich bread or Italian bread
  • 2 tbsp butter (for grilling)
  • 1 cup shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 1216 pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread and place buttered side down on a work surface.
  2. Spread marinara sauce on the unbuttered sides. Top with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning if using.
  3. Close with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Grill in a skillet or panini press over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
  5. Slice and serve hot with extra marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.

  • Use garlic butter for extra flavor.
  • Don’t overload with sauce to prevent sogginess.
