Description

A hearty and flavorful grilled chicken and avocado bagel sandwich, combining juicy seasoned chicken breast, creamy avocado, and crisp veggies between a toasted bagel for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 bagel, sliced and toasted
  • 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced
  • 1/2 ripe avocado, sliced or mashed
  • 1 leaf lettuce or handful of arugula
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 slices red onion (optional)
  • 1 slice cheese (optional, such as provolone or Swiss)
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise or aioli (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or butter for grilling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. Grill over medium heat for 5–7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and juices run clear. Let rest, then slice.
  2. Toast the bagel halves until golden and crisp.
  3. If using, spread mayonnaise or aioli on the bottom half of the bagel.
  4. Layer grilled chicken, avocado, tomato, onion, cheese (if using), and lettuce or arugula on the bagel base.
  5. Top with the other bagel half and press gently.
  6. Serve immediately, warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use grilled tofu or chickpea patty for a vegetarian version.
