Description

Grilled Beef Skewers are juicy, flavorful beef cubes marinated in a blend of spices and herbs, then grilled to smoky perfection. These skewers are ideal for backyard barbecues, casual dinners, or party platters.

Ingredients

  • beef sirloin or ribeye, cut into cubes
  • olive oil
  • soy sauce
  • garlic, minced
  • lemon juice
  • paprika
  • black pepper
  • salt
  • fresh herbs (parsley or rosemary)
  • wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add beef cubes and toss to coat. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours).
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread beef onto skewers.
  5. Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes

  • For added flavor, add bell peppers, onions, or cherry tomatoes to the skewers.
  • Try different marinades, such as teriyaki or chimichurri, for variety.
  • If you like it spicy, add chili flakes or sriracha to the marinade.
  • Store cooked skewers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on a skillet or under a broiler.
  • Sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin cuts of beef are best for skewers.
  • Chicken or lamb can be used as alternatives to beef.
  • If you prefer baking, cook skewers in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wooden skewers should be soaked in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • You can freeze marinated beef for up to 2 months, making it a great make-ahead option.
  • To keep the beef tender, avoid overcooking — aim for medium or medium-rare.
  • Pineapple adds sweetness and works well with beef on the skewers.
  • Marinate the beef for at least 30 minutes, but longer marination results in deeper flavor.
  • For a gluten-free option, substitute tamari for soy sauce.
  • Serve with rice, grilled veggies, or flatbread for a well-rounded meal.
