- 1.5 kg chicken wings, split into flats and drums
- 2 tbsp olive oil or neutral grilling oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
- Optional: 1 tbsp hot sauce, 1 tbsp honey, or 1/2 tsp chili flakes for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (200–220 °C / 400–425 °F).
- Season the wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Place wings on the grill, skin side down. Cook for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- During the last 5 minutes, brush wings generously with BBQ sauce on both sides. Grill until caramelized.
- Let wings rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally garnish with herbs or extra sauce.
Notes
- Use a thick, flavorful BBQ sauce for best results.
- Oil both the wings and grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Wings are done when internal temp reaches 75 °C (165 °F).
- Can be roasted in the oven if a grill is unavailable.
