Description

These juicy, smoky grilled chicken wings are glazed in a rich BBQ sauce, making them a flavorful crowd-pleaser perfect for any gathering, cookout, or game day feast.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1.5 kg chicken wings, split into flats and drums
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or neutral grilling oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
  • Optional: 1 tbsp hot sauce, 1 tbsp honey, or 1/2 tsp chili flakes for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (200–220 °C / 400–425 °F).
  2. Season the wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Place wings on the grill, skin side down. Cook for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  4. During the last 5 minutes, brush wings generously with BBQ sauce on both sides. Grill until caramelized.
  5. Let wings rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally garnish with herbs or extra sauce.

Notes

  • Use a thick, flavorful BBQ sauce for best results.
  • Oil both the wings and grill grates to prevent sticking.
  • Wings are done when internal temp reaches 75 °C (165 °F).
  • Can be roasted in the oven if a grill is unavailable.
