Description

Green Grape Dessert is a no-bake layered treat featuring a crunchy biscuit base, creamy filling, and a glossy topping of fresh green grapes set in a delicate jelly. Light, fruity, and refreshing, it’s perfect for spring and summer occasions.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups digestive biscuits or graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup Greek yogurt or heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 tsp gelatin or 2 tsp agar-agar
  • 2 cups seedless green grapes (halved or whole)
  • 1/4 cup red or black grapes (optional, for contrast)
  • 1 cup water or clear grape juice (for jelly layer)

Instructions

  1. Combine crushed biscuits with melted butter and press into the bottom of a springform pan. Refrigerate to set.
  2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, yogurt or cream, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  3. Spread the cream mixture over the chilled biscuit base and smooth the top. Chill for 1 hour.
  4. Arrange green grapes (and optional red/black grapes) evenly over the cream layer.
  5. Dissolve gelatin or agar-agar in warm water or grape juice. Let it cool slightly but not set.
  6. Gently pour the gelatin mixture over the grapes to cover them evenly.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until the jelly is fully set.
  8. Once set, remove from the springform pan and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use a springform pan for best presentation and easy removal.
  • Chill thoroughly for clean slices and firm texture.
  • Substitute with plant-based ingredients for a vegan version.
  • Customize with other fruits or flavored gelatin.
