Description

Grape Jelly Meatballs are a sweet and savory appetizer made with frozen meatballs simmered in a tangy sauce of grape jelly and chili sauce—perfect for parties and potlucks.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen fully cooked meatballs
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup chili sauce (such as Heinz)
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan or slow cooker, combine grape jelly and chili sauce. Stir until well blended.
  2. Add Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder if using. Stir to combine.
  3. Add the frozen meatballs and stir to coat evenly with the sauce.
  4. If using stovetop, simmer over medium heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are heated through and sauce is thickened.
  5. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 3-4 hours or high for 1.5-2 hours.
  6. Serve warm with toothpicks as an appetizer or over rice as a meal.

Notes

  • Use turkey or beef meatballs based on preference.
  • Can be made ahead and reheated in the slow cooker.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Great for game days, holidays, and potlucks.
