Description

Grape Jelly Meatballs are a sweet and savory appetizer made with frozen meatballs simmered in a deliciously sticky sauce of grape jelly and chili sauce. A crowd-pleasing classic perfect for parties, potlucks, and game days.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 lbs frozen fully cooked meatballs
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup chili sauce (such as Heinz)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan or slow cooker, combine grape jelly, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add frozen meatballs and stir to coat evenly in the sauce.
  3. Stovetop method: Cover and simmer on medium-low heat for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are heated through and sauce is thickened.
  4. Slow cooker method: Cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice for a main dish.

  • Homemade meatballs can be used if pre-cooked.
  • This recipe can be doubled easily for large gatherings.
