For the Dough:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
For the Filling:
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp salt
For Topping:
- 1 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Extra parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough – In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, flour, and salt. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Make the Garlic Butter – In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
- Shape the Rolls – Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about ¼ inch thick). Brush with garlic butter and sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 10-12 rolls.
- Bake – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Brush with more garlic butter and let rise for 15 minutes. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Finish and Serve – Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and extra parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!
