Ingredients

Units Scale
For the Dough:
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
For the Filling:
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
For Topping:
  • 1 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Extra parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough – In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add melted butter, flour, and salt. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Make the Garlic Butter – In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
  • Shape the Rolls – Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about ¼ inch thick). Brush with garlic butter and sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 10-12 rolls.
  • Bake – Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place rolls in a greased baking dish. Brush with more garlic butter and let rise for 15 minutes. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Finish and Serve – Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and extra parsley. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use pre-made pizza dough for a quicker version.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
