Glazed Chicken Drumsticks are juicy, oven-baked or grilled chicken legs coated in a sweet and savory glaze. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings, these drumsticks are flavorful, tender, and easy to make.

- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- For the glaze:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease it.
- Pat chicken drumsticks dry and place them in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss to coat evenly.
- Arrange drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- After 25 minutes of baking, brush drumsticks with glaze and return to the oven.
- Bake for another 15–20 minutes, brushing with additional glaze halfway through, until chicken is cooked through (internal temperature 165°F/74°C) and nicely caramelized.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Optionally garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds.
Notes
- You can also grill the drumsticks over medium heat, basting with glaze as they cook.
- Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the honey in the glaze.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and enjoyed cold or reheated the next day.
