Description

These bite-sized gingerbread snowballs are packed with warm spices and coated in sugar for a festive holiday treat.

 


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
  • Mix in molasses and vanilla extract.
  • Add flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt, and baking soda. Mix until combined.
  • Roll into small balls and place on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until set. Let cool slightly.
  • Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar and let cool completely.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
