Description

Garlic Herb Lamb Chops are a refined and flavorful dish featuring tender lamb chops infused with a vibrant blend of garlic, rosemary, thyme, and parsley, seared to perfection and ideal for elegant dinners or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 lamb chops (rib or loin cuts)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for basting)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for finishing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. Rub mixture over lamb chops and let marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or up to 4 hours in the fridge.
  2. Preheat a heavy skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil if needed.
  3. Sear lamb chops for 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust time for preferred doneness.
  4. Optional: Add butter during the last minute and spoon over chops to baste.
  5. Remove from pan, tent with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and drizzle with lemon juice before serving.

Notes

  • Use rib or loin chops for tender, quick-cooking meat.
  • Fresh herbs add more flavor, but dried can be substituted using one-third the amount.
  • Marinate up to 4 hours for deeper flavor—avoid overnight marinating to prevent overpowering the lamb.
  • Letting the meat rest ensures juicier, more tender results.
  • Add a sauce like chimichurri or mint yogurt for extra flair.
