Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Pork Chops:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pork Chops:
    • Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Sear the Pork Chops:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
    • Add chicken broth and lemon juice, stirring to deglaze the pan.
    • Simmer for 2 minutes, then return the pork chops to the pan.
  4. Finish Cooking:
    • Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the pork chops.
    • Let them simmer for another 3-5 minutes, until fully cooked (internal temp of 145°F).
  5. Garnish & Serve:
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with mashed potatoes or roasted veggies.

Notes

  • Bone-in pork chops work well too; just adjust cooking time.
  • Add heavy cream to the sauce for an extra creamy texture.
  • Pair with garlic parmesan asparagus or buttered noodles for a full meal.
