- 1 baguette or crusty bread loaf

- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the baguette in half lengthwise or into individual serving pieces.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter with garlic, salt, and parsley.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture generously over each slice of bread.
- Top with cheese if desired and arrange on a baking tray.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is melted.
- Broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for stronger flavor, or substitute garlic powder for convenience.
- Can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake.
- Top with chili flakes, oregano, or bacon for variations.
- Freeze extra slices and bake from frozen as needed.
