- 2 large eggs

- 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chopped chocolate together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold until just combined—do not overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips or chunks if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
