Description

Crispy, golden‑brown mushroom slices served with tangy ranch dip for a delicious appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 250g button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Ranch dressing, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 175 °C (350 °F).
  2. Dredge mushroom slices in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs or panko.
  3. Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season immediately with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve warm with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Add grated Parmesan to breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
  • Use panko instead of regular breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  • Try with dips like garlic aioli, spicy mayo, barbecue sauce, or marinara.
  • For best results, let breaded mushrooms rest a few minutes before frying.
  • Reheat leftovers in an oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
