Description

Easy Chocolate Brownies are rich, fudgy, and incredibly simple to make with basic pantry ingredients. Perfect for a quick dessert or a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and glossy.
  3. Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and chill before cutting.
  • Add nuts, caramel, or swirl in peanut butter for variations.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
