- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix until smooth and glossy.
- Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and chill before cutting.
- Add nuts, caramel, or swirl in peanut butter for variations.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for longer storage.
